For years, we watched Lisbon’s streets fill up with crowded walking tours. Groups of 30 people rushing past landmarks, following similar scripts, and missing the true soul of the city. We saw historical shops closing and local traditions being replaced by generic souvenirs.

We knew there was a better way to share our home. We created Lisbon Heritage Walks as the antidote to mass tourism. We believe that to truly know Lisbon, you need to slow down, walk with a local friend, and step inside the doors that most tourists walk right past.

These shops are now protected by the city council to help preserve our heritage. We don't just point these places out from the sidewalk, we step inside.
